ABOUT

Robo Arm

Why did I choose this for my project, my interest in this project comes from working at my quarry. We wanted an Arm to move slate to prevent injury. I plan on using this as a steppingstone for my senior project. This project is built upon other peoples projects found online. We were tasked with modifying and improving there design. This robot arm will be designed to water a plant, so you don’t have too.

The ethics of this project is keeping plants alive

How It Works

The Hydrocare Botanical Arm uses an Arduino Uno that controls L298N Motor Drivers that control the movements of the arm. The Arm as a save function that moves the arm to desired locations on its own.

The joysticks send signals to the analog inputs. the Arduino then reads the values of the inputs and moves and send signals to the L298N Motor drivers.

The Arm is wall powered and draws 12v 1amp. the power goes to the the 12v input for the motor drivers, Dc water pump, and the 12v to 5v buck converter.

The buck converter sends power to the Arduino, joysticks, Relay, and the 5V input for the motor drivers.

The save function of the Arduino works by reading different voltage values at the analog inputs. This sets the Arm into different modes allowing you to save locations, run the watering routine, and manually run the DC water pump
